The mark as an object
The mark is not a drawing but an object: a folded sheet 22 millimetres deep. Rotate it, and see it in five finishes.

What this is
The mark is made of three parts: the stem of the R, the bowl of the D, and the bent sheet that joins them. It is not an extruded letter but one continuous sheet folded back at its left edge — which is why the mark has a back, an edge and a shadow.
The five finishes
These are materials, not colours: gold is polished metal, oak veneer runs with the stem, marble is a polished slab, glass is optical crystal, and white painted is matt-lacquered metal. The same geometry, a different behaviour in light — which is exactly what a material choice decides.
